In 1908 Hubbard began to publish "The Fra," which was a large format monthly magazine with a roster of contributors and regular commercial advertising pages. At about this time he became more and more identified with large business interests in his writings, and the last series of "Little Journeys" was to the Homes of Great Business Men.

This volume of The Fra magazine includes the issues from July 1911 to December 1911. The Fra stands for art. Art is not a thing separate and apart, art is a way. Art is the beautiful way. Art should extend to every function of life, for our environment as well as our actions should be graceful, harmonious, beautiful. The Fra stands for the art of living. Sample contents: Emerson the Skeptic; Middlemen and Parasites; Some History and a Conclusion; A Modern Prophet; World's Most Valuable Secret; Popular Election of Senators; Religious Revival; Presidential Booms; Religion in the Future; Follies of La Follette; Mystery of Life; and much more. These magazines represent an incredible wealth of Americana.

This issue was almost like a catalog of Roycroft accessories. These pages have been scanned, reformatted a bit and catagorized to fit this site. Images and pricing was taken directly from a copy of the magazine in my posession. You can scroll through the pages or go to a list of direct links to each page. ENJOY!!
